Aside from mostly sidestepping the issue of sweat shops in the product cycle by half hearted but possibly partially true stories of workers fighting for better conditions, this was an eye-opening description of the TShirt from raising cotton in Texas to what happens to discarded clothes at the end of their life cycle. Mor honest reporting on the potentially dangerous practices in dyeing and in those sweat shops the Chinese and others don’t want us to see would have made that book what it promised to be.
