Again just what I’ve heard, never been there. Portland and Oregon in general have a very long and troubling history in regards to race relations. It is still an incredibly white city and state. Depending on where you live you can easily go weeks or longer without seeing a single black person. I think a lot of “racism” that people feel coming from Portlanders comes from them not having experience with other cultures and races.

I mean racism is racism, it’s just confusing as to why people are even racist here when it’s such a liberal city, plus hardly anyone to even be racist towards. Like most of the racist people I’ve met here are either mentally ill homeless people or entitled rich kids.
