In elementary school, I Don’t Calfornia My Tennessee Shirt discovered my love for drawing. I usually drew horses, but I remember one time where the art teacher let us draw whatever. I’d recently watched a Scooby-Doo movie with a big scary monster, so little me wanted to draw the scary monster. I don’t think it ended up looking anything like the movie, but it still probably looked weird. She hesitated, and I could tell she was put off by it. I mean, I was just a little girl so I can see it being a little weird, but I’ve always loved monsters. After that, I was a bit more ashamed of liking them and kept it a secret. I still kind of do to this day.
